Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to wpbackup.dev and your use of the Fast Backups WordPress plugin provided by NXTLABS. By using the website or plugin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
License and permitted use
Fast Backups is free software distributed under the GPL v2 or later, as stated in the plugin package. You may use, copy, modify, and redistribute the plugin in accordance with that license. These terms do not limit rights granted to you by the GPL.
You may not use wpbackup.dev, its authorization services, or the plugin to break applicable law, gain unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, interfere with service availability, or infringe the rights of others.
Your authority and responsibilities
You must have permission to back up, download, transfer, restore, or migrate every website and dataset you process with Fast Backups. You are responsible for complying with privacy, confidentiality, employment, contractual, export, and data-protection obligations that apply to your site and its users.
Backup and restore responsibility
- Maintain more than one current backup and keep at least one copy in a separate location.
- Protect archives, encryption passwords, WordPress credentials, and destination credentials from unauthorized access.
- Confirm that scheduled jobs complete and that retention settings preserve the copies you need.
- Test restores in a safe environment before relying on a backup for production recovery.
- Review the destination site, database, URLs, plugins, themes, and user access after a migration or restore.
Destructive operations
A restore or migration can replace database records, media, plugins, themes, configuration, and other files on the destination site. You are responsible for selecting the correct archive and destination, creating a recovery point before starting, and ensuring sufficient server resources and access. Do not interrupt an active operation unless necessary for safety.
Third-party services and hosting
Fast Backups may connect to services you choose, including hosting environments, FTP/FTPS servers, Google Drive, WordPress.org, and other infrastructure. NXTLABS does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, security, limits, fees, data handling, or changes. Your use of each service is subject to its own terms and policies.
Google Drive authorization
If you connect Google Drive, you authorize Fast Backups to use the requested Google Drive file permission to create and manage plugin-generated backup files. You may revoke access through the plugin or your Google account. Removing access may prevent scheduled uploads or remote backup management from working.
Updates and compatibility
WordPress, PHP, database servers, hosting configurations, themes, plugins, and external APIs change over time. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. You are responsible for testing updates and maintaining an environment that meets the plugin's published requirements.
Support and availability
We may provide documentation, community support, or direct assistance, but response times and resolutions are not guaranteed. The website, download links, authorization broker, and related services may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security, or reasons outside our control.
No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, wpbackup.dev and Fast Backups are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that every archive will be complete, that every restore or migration will succeed, or that the website and integrations will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NXTLABS and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, business, goodwill, or service availability arising from or related to the website, plugin, backup destinations, restores, or migrations.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify NXTLABS against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the website or plugin, your violation of these terms, or data and websites you process without proper authority.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled by wpbackup.dev and Fast Backups and forms part of these terms.
Changes to terms
We may revise these terms to reflect product, service, security, or legal changes. Updated terms will be posted here with a revised date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Severability and entire agreement
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the applicable open-source license form the agreement concerning your use of wpbackup.dev and Fast Backups.
